Revival in Belfast Robin Mark 9787472011239 Books

This CE is the ab-so-lute BEST CD I have ever bought! I first hear the tune "Revival" on a music service, then looked it up to find the CD. I am so glad I did. It is a wonderful expression of worship from start to finish. I did not know prior to listening to this that Robin Mark wrote the song "Days of Elijah" (the only version I had heard was by Twila Paris). I have listened to this CD almost non stop since receiving it. The music and message have been a tremendous blessing to me, and I am so glad I bought it. A blessing awaits every listener to listens to this hour of worship!

A friend came back from a trip to Ireland a few months ago and introduced "Days of Elijah" to the congregation. It became an overnight favorite. I bought the CD, and it just blew my socks off. The opening measures of the first song sent chills down my spine. The instrumental arrangements are superb, and the sound quality--I thought I was listening to a high-budget movie soundtrack. It sounds good with the volume cranked up or set low. The song lyrics are touching and inspiring without being trite or overly repetitive. The songs are easy and enjoyable to sing. Our church's motley band of wannabe rockers can even play most of them!
This is one of the BEST praise and worship CD's I've ever bought. I can't say enough about it, the words are all written in the cover leaflet so that you can truly sing along and have a great time in worship with the Lord. Sometimes when I'm down, thats the best time to worship the Lord Jesus and He lifts me up as I sing unto Him. It's a live CD so you feel like you're really part of the service and he pray/talks a couple of times and I pray with him. For being a LIVE CD, the quality is more like a studio CD, not empty with echoes like most LIVE versions. I just bought this for my brother down south and know he will get hours of enjoyment from it, HIGHLY recommended. Nora
Powerful, Sensitive, Timeless music. Lifts you up and inspires as only a Celtic Worship Leader like Robin Mark can! We have purchased this about once a year for the last 5 years... because, this all time favorite constantly "disappears" when we end up giving our copy to visitors or friends. We LOVE it!
Beautiful, inspirational contemporary Christian music! The song Be Unto Your Name is absolutely stunning. The instrumentation is a combination of typical rock band guitars and percussion with classic Irish instruments such as the tin whistle, Uilleann bagpipe, flutes, and more. The vocals are also excellent. Robin Mark has a pleasant voice and the supporting vocal are great. Many of the songs are live and the audience is the chorus. All the songs can be heard on YouTube. Refreshingly different modern Christian music. Take a chance and check it out.
I happenned to be in Manhattan killing time waiting for a business appointment when, by God's grace, I walked into a Catholic book and music store at the base of a skyscraper. The good Sisters introduced this country Southern Baptist to their music collection and, with great interest, I selected this from a large group of cassette tapes. Once I got home, I could not take it out of my car player. There is not one note that didn't move me. You will hear "Days of Elijah" played in countless worship services, protestant or Catholic, and "When It's All Said and Done" was once cobbled together with "9-11" broadcasts to make an unforgettable musical momument to those tragic events. Robin Mark's vocals are accomplished but purposefully humble, leaving room for you to realize how fabulous the music and melodies truly are.
I've always enjoyed Irish music, though their pop can be rather depressing--esp. Paddy Reilly. But add the message of Jesus to the simple, singable nature of much Irish song, and you have a mix that can't be beaten. I heard the last 3 tracks of this CD on a Christian radio stationon one of the many nights I have been plagued with insomnia. All I wanted to do was find the Cd after that. I did, and, being an import, I paid a bit for it. But was it a great investment. Our church sings "Be Unto Your Name," and I'd love to hear them sing any of the tracks from here. "Garments of Praise," "Shout to the North," and Revival, the first 3 tracks, all have hooks I catch myself singing sometimes on my daily walk to work. I have played this CD repeatedly during some very difficult times I have encountered, and never failed to be cheered by Robin Mark and the band. I now own all 3 CD's he has produced, and await even more if he ever releases them.
This is a unique, uplifting, utterly brilliant worship album. I can honestly say that I had never before heard of Irish-based music in the form of a worship concert album. The message in the songs is uplifting and spiritual, and the music itself is wonderful. Be prepared to have your heartstrings tugged on songs like the opener "Garments of Praise", "How Great Are You Lord", and "Be Unto Your Name". "Revival" is a wonderful, epic, thought-provoking, anthemic song. "Shout to the North" is a catchy, uptempo number. "Days of Elijah", as the closing track, is the ultimate uplifting masterpiece. My congregation has used this brilliant track as a sending song every couple of months or so for the past couple of years, and it is an absolute congregational favorite in a church where contemporary worship is finally beginning to be embraced.

For sure, "Days of Elijah" is representative of an album that is an absolute winner. The songs are based on passages in the Bible, and the music is touching and uplifting and truly praises Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. In addition, the songs are not at all hard to learn and sing along to. I highly recommend this album.
