Love this little back story for Jack, although I wish it were longer!
If you've read Thorn Jack it gives you a little more insight in Jack's character. Short but sweet.
I wish there was more. Jack is my favorite character so to get a glimpse of his past is great!
I like Jack's pov but the storyline is confusing then jumps to the end abruptly. Not sure what else to say about this.
Katherine Harbour's stories drip with dark magic and sorrow and passion. I want to close my eyes and loose my self in the world she weaves. I am counting the days till Nettle King comes out.
I thought this story was a nice teaser/introduction to the series. I actually did read this first since I knew it was a novella at the beginning of the series.
An entertaining read and look into Jack's backstory - wish it was a longer read, of course! Katherine Harbour's writing is just beautiful.
